Programme Duration

The duration for the LL.M programme is at least 18 months of full-time study, or four years part-time, including time for a thesis. All programme requirements, including the thesis, must be completed within five years from the student’s first enrolment into the programme.


Degree Completion Requirements

Students are required to complete 48 Credit Hours to graduate:

  • Two (2) Common Courses (4 Credit Hours)
  • Four (4) Core Courses (16 Credit Hours)
  • Five (5) Concentrations (20 Credit Hours)
  • Thesis (8 Credit Hours)


Admission Requirements

Applicants wishing to enter the Master of Laws (LL.M) programme must hold an undergraduate degree in Law.

Minimum Entry Requirements
  • Holders of a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of a Second Class (Honours) Upper Division (GPA of 3.33) from Daystar University.
  • Graduates of any other University whose degrees have been accepted by Senate to be equivalent to the bachelor’s degree.
  • Holders of a Bachelor’s degree of Daystar University (or other accredited University) or its accepted equivalent who have achieved a Second Class (Honours) Lower Division (GPA of 3.00), with two years of relevant work experience or relevant research/publications, or a post-graduate diploma from a recognized academic institution.
